Meiz has 25 years of service as a Naval Engineering Officer in the Royal Canadian Navy. He is the founder of the Navy’s technology management program, investing in Canadian technology startups to satisfy technical requirements. Meiz successfully grew innovation ecosystems, sourcing intra-governmental investments and managing significant change within government and the private sector. Meiz has deep insight into defence technology strategies having authored operational concepts and S&T Program Guidance Mandates.
He holds a B. Eng in Computer Engineering, MSc in Guided Weapons Systems and a Masters in Defence Studies.

Ibrahim, our Chief Information Officer, leads information management and environmental scanning. With a PhD in Mechatronics Systems Engineering from Simon Fraser University/KU Leuven, Ibrahim brings a wealth of experience in creating sustainable technology solutions for emerging markets and smart cities. His expertise lies in evaluating technology feasibility, integration, and market applicability, as well as developing novel IP and long-term product development strategies. Additionally, he has drafted AI, IoT, and emerging technology policies and frameworks for smart cities in Canada.

Jonathan Tippett, Chief Technology Officer of Mostar Labs, is an accomplished engineer, entrepreneur, artist, and educator with a passion for innovation. He has 25 years of experience in fields ranging from marine hydraulics to fuel cells and from to microscopic neurovascular implants to giant mech suits. A graduate of The University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering, Jonathan has six patents to his name, built the worlds largest 4-legged exoskeloton and is a recognized thought leader in the field of technological innovation, giving lectures at ETH Zurich, University of Texas and UBC, and participating in a NATO advisory panel on the ethical deployment of technology. He even co-hosted his own Discovery channel TV show. As a Founding Director of the eatART Foundation, he has toured the globe, deploying large-scale, engineered artworks to foster conversations around sustainability, STEAM and innovation. At Mostar Labs, Jonathan leverages his diverse expertise to drive advancements in maritime technologies, sustainable solutions, and cutting-edge engineering initiatives.

Jack is a Chartered Professional Accountant with over 20 years of experience in the accounting, mining and real estate development sectors with expertise in M&A, securities offerings, public company accounting and disclosure, financial reporting, as well as financial and risk management. Mr. Cartmel is the founder and Managing Partner of NUMIS CPAs Inc (“NUMIS”). NUMIS is a boutique accounting firm based in Western Canada that offers domestic and international tax, accounting and advisory services to small and medium size emerging businesses.
Prior to starting NUMIS Mr. Cartmel held various C-Suite roles in public and private companies in the mining and real estate development sectors. Mr. Cartmel holds a BBA as well as CPA, CA designation in British Columbia and Alberta.
Chief AI Officer
Brahim has more than 14 years of experience in the field of information technology, AI and Machine Learning. He holds a Masters Degree in Artificial Intelligence and Applied Mathematics. He worked as a consultant for multiple blue chip companies like Volkswagen, Fujitsu, CGI, Agropur, Air Liquide and Ritchie Brothers. He has worked extensively as a data analyst for the Canada Federal and Quebec governments on highly confidential projects. He contributes as a speaker on his white papers at the annual American Statistical Associations Conference and developed a web application of predictive modelling, sentiment analysis applied for trading markets and social media.
